Synopsis
17-year-old Carrie White is a lonely girl targeted for ruthless abuse, not only from her bullying classmates – led by Christine Hargensen, but also from her narcissistic and fanatically religious mother at home. After a nasty incident at school involving her first period, her gym teacher, Ms. Desjardin sticks up for Carrie and punishes the bullies. Chris gets herself suspended for fighting the punishment and begins plotting revenge against Carrie. Meanwhile, Carrie is beginning to discover she has great telekinetic powers.
