Synopsis

Kathirvelan falls for Cristina at a temple festival. To be close to her, he gives up his plans of going abroad and joins her college. She doesn’t reject him, nor does she fully accept his feelings. A separate couple in their college elopes for a register marriage due to caste issues. For signing as witnesses, Kathirvelan and Cristina provide their Aadhaar and ration cards. Later, Cristina’s family arranges her engagement with a Christian groom. A shocking twist emerges — the priest in their family finds a marriage certificate showing Cristina and Kathirvelan as a married couple. Due to corrupt officials registering marriages for money without the bride and groom present, the witness documents were misused. To cancel this, Cristina frequently visits the registrar’s office in secret, leading to suspicion from her fiancé’s family. Cristina’s family strongly opposes her marrying a man from another faith, especially after her sister’s tragic past.
